The oldest ski club race in North America is back for its 86th year! The Hoch Challenge Cup Race has been a NEMS favorite for decades. It is always an exciting race and is considered a “must-attend” by many of our regular racers. 

The Hoch is the only NEMS race with a team aspect. Racers can create a team of FOUR (4) to compete for one of the legendary Ski Club Hochgebirge trophies. Team entries cost $20, are done at Mittersill, and are facilitated by a Ski Club Hochgebirge representative.

After awards, Ski Club Hochgebirge has invited everyone back to the house for food, drinks, and plenty of stories.

• Date: Saturday, Jan. 24th

• Discipline: Giant Slalom (2 full races)

• Cost: $TBD (Does Not Include Lift Ticket)

• Racer Ticket Price: $TBD (Ticket is paid seperately by NEMS. If racer does not need a ticket, let Lucy know at Registration)

• Trail: Taft (via Valar T-Bar)

• Race Registration - All registration is done online. No Day of Race registration.

• Race Day Check-in / Registration: Performance Center

• USSS License Required: Yes

• Helmet Requirement: Yes - Must be hard-sided and have FIS RH 2013 sticker.

• Age Restriction: Yes (18yo+)

• Awards Location/Time: Performance Center (Main Level) - Approx. 1 hour after the conclusion of the races.
